Near-new (one year old) Merrell Chameleon Thermo 8 Tall Waterproof described as 'WARM'; real world experience 'not so much...'. Vast majority of my footwear is Men 8.5/42 medium width, opted for same Esker LowProfile/HiLoft. Actual Esker insole, vs. Merrell insole was spot-on for length, & a little wider. My initial reaction: 'it's ok... I can always trim them'. Reviewed accompanying instruction card, opted not to trim, began insertion process with boots. Initial reaction: 'Hmmm... tight fit...'.
A few attempts, some patience (maybe 10 minutes) Esker insoles seated in boots. Assumed there would be some wear-in/compression once insoles were in place. First reaction with Esker insoles in, boots on: 'a bit snug'.
Real-world, Collingwood Ontario,15 days later, 150km on boots in -10°C weather, shovelling snow, walking, hiking... great fit, warm, excellent choice! Merrell's now warm in cold weather, switched from my Smartwool heavyweight hiking socks to medium weight.
Esker insoles turned good boots into great ones!
I got these for my snowboots, which had no arch support and were killing my legs by the end of thd day. These made them so much more comfortable. The boots feel warmer, too.
The Esker insoles (Lo Loft) feel great in my shoes. Size 38 accurate sizing. Next order will be Hi Loft for my boots.
The product is great quality and has been helpful with a plantar fasciitis thing ... the service/ delivery etc all good .. I'll buy again
I am older and on a fixed income, so I had to weigh the benefits of buying these. Weigh no more, I am prioritizing having these in my shoes and boots. They are fantastic! I got the low profile in the low loft for my shoes, I am next going to get the low profile in the high loft for my boots. My barefoot shoes are a hundred times better with your insoles! Thank-you! Thank-you! Thank-you! Kate
I settled on the low profile, high loft Esker insoles. They are sublime. My feet feel like they are being hugged. Love them.
Wanted to change the foot bed for my sandals, these did the job. Comfortable and gave me the support I needed.
Difficult to place in by hiking boots & work boots. Unable to use them even tho they are the correct size.
Love them, exactly what I was hoping for. I use the support version. Very comfortable and as advertised, all the benefits of wool. Couldn't be happier.
I am a 55 year old woman who spends a lot of time on her feet, and I am enjoying the Eskers insoles very much. I put one pair in my Kailesh hiking boots and another pair in my Ecco ankle boots which I wear with my uniform as a cabin crew member. On my layovers, I can switch the insoles from my work boot to my running shoes for walking around cities. It’s alleviating foot pain and fatigue I previously experienced. I am happy with this product, so far.
Wonderful. Could use a bit more textrue on the bottom to reduce sliding inside the shoe when new.
Extremely comfortable and supportive. They are also surprisingly warm as I have them in my AT ski boots and loving them! Highly recommend
Wonderful addition to my shoes. I work on my feet 12 hours at a time and the Eskers have been tremendously helpful in maximizing comfort, reducing fatigue and keeping my shoes from getting too funky.
I bought a pair 3-4 years ago. I definitely used them a lot in my MTB shoes.. riding, hike a biking, bikepark, etc.. after a few years, they are done (overused) and smelly. But this is normal after that much riding.
I just bought a new pair but went for the NO support one. It felt weird at first but don't notice it now. I don't think we need arch supports all the time and it will be a good test. I'll let you know in 3 or 4 years. AB
So nice.
The natural fibre insoles really feel better on my feet in the heat of summer. Less stink.. less hot foot sensation.. more better. I love them.
The best insoles, period. Nothing better for support, moisture control, warmth, and durability for outdoor activities plus, no matter the abuse you throw at them.
