Our insoles are designed to fit your usual shoe size, with tapered edges that accommodate a range of shoe widths without trimming. Offering full sizes also lets us shape each insole precisely for its intended construction and fit.

We recommend sizing up. Our insoles are designed with tapered edges that wrap slightly up the sides of your shoe, allowing them to fit a range of widths. If needed, the front can be trimmed using your original insole as a template.

Esker insoles are designed to replace a removable factory insole in running shoes, hiking boots, work boots, ski boots and everyday footwear. They're not recommended for sandals, flip-flops or footwear without a removable footbed.

Most customers don't need to trim their Eskers. The tapered edges are designed to fit a range of shoe widths, and the insoles are made to fit your usual shoe size. If your footwear has a particularly narrow toe box, you can trim the front using your original insole as a template.

LoLoft is our lower-profile option, with less volume underfoot. It's a good choice for everyday shoes, running shoes and footwear with a more precise fit.

HiLoft is thicker, with more cushioning and insulation. It's a good choice for hiking boots, work boots and roomier footwear.

If you're between the two, consider how much room you have in your footwear: LoLoft takes up less space, while HiLoft provides more cushioning and insulation.

No. Wool naturally helps regulate temperature and manage moisture, which makes it comfortable across a wide range of conditions. It's one of the reasons we use wool in our insoles year-round.

Because wool naturally resists odour, you won't need to wash them often. If they get muddy:

1. Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent.
2. Gently squeeze out excess water (do not wring).
3. Air dry only. Avoid high heat or machine dryers, as this can shrink the wool.

How long an insole lasts depends on how often and how heavily it's used. Esker insoles are built from resilient natural materials designed to hold their shape and performance through regular use. Over time, the wool will naturally compress and the insole will show signs of wear.

We want you to feel the difference. You can wear, trim, and test your Eskers for a full 30 days. If they aren't the best thing to happen to your feet, you can return them for a refund of the product price.
