Born in the Sea-to-Sky.

Replacing the synthetic status quo with natural performance.

Esker was founded by a small team of outdoor enthusiasts who were tired of the "disposable" nature of foam footwear. We spent two years testing in the Sea-to-Sky corridor to prove that a 100% natural foundation could outperform the synthetic status quo.

We spent years sourcing the specific combination of natural materials required to replace the petroleum-based status quo. Our foundations are built on three primary pillars:

High-Density Felted Wool

Chosen for its natural ability to regulate temperature and neutralise odour-causing bacteria without the use of harsh chemicals.

Woven Structural Linen

A high-tenacity plant fibre that provides the necessary torsional rigidity and "snap" that defines a supportive gear-piece.

Natural Saturated Latex

A renewable resin that bonds our layers together and provides a tacky, high-friction base that outlasts synthetic adhesives.

Design Ethos

1. Locally Inspired

Designed and tested in the rugged terrain of the Pacific Northwest. If it can handle a Squamish spring, it can handle anything.

2. Material Integrity

No greenwashing. Just pure wool, woven linen, and natural latex. No hidden plastics or toxic adhesives.

3. Accountability

We believe in gear that serves the athlete and respects the earth. Our "Full Circle" design ensures our products return to the soil, not the sea.

Full Circle

High-performance gear shouldn’t outlast its welcome on the planet. Because we’ve eliminated petroleum-based plastics and toxic adhesives, an Esker insole is designed to return to the earth at the end of its long life. By choosing renewable fibres over synthetic foams, we ensure that your footprint—in every sense of the word—is as light as possible.
