Our Company
From the backyard to the backcountry

Nestled in the heart of British Columbia's Coast Mountains, Esker draws inspiration from the rugged beauty of our surroundings. We're passionate about harnessing the technical benefits of natural materials, offering sustainable alternatives to conventional plastic solutions. Our commitment is to craft high-performance products of exceptional quality that provide our customers with eco-friendly choices.
Our Journey
Esker was born in 2018 when longtime friends and outdoor enthusiasts, Andy Boniface and Patrick Long, shared a post-ride beer after a typically wet and muddy North Shore mountain bike adventure. Their conversation turned to the outstanding performance of their wool base layers and the untapped potential of natural materials in outdoor gear.
Immersed in the innovative 'rectech' community of the Pacific Northwest, they realized they weren't alone in their appreciation for natural materials. This realization sparked the idea for a sustainable orthotic—one that wouldn't retain odors or become cold and clammy like traditional plastic and foam insoles. After three years of refining the product and developing the brand, Esker Insoles launched in 2021.
Our Products
Esker insoles are crafted from natural materials, including raw wool fiber, linen, and natural rubber, without any synthetic components, plastics, or chemical additives. Designed to offer comfort, support, and durability, our insoles are suitable for a variety of footwear and activities. You can find them on our website and at a growing network of premium footwear retailers and outdoor specialty stores. Visit our dealer page to locate a store near you.
